Happy New Year!

Last year I posted a video about New Year's Resolutions and not looking back, but looking forward. I will begin the new year by asking the class what you are looking forward to in 2012. Come to class prepared with some ideas to share. Personally, I am looking forward to the Olympics coming here (particularly the football which I have bought some tickets for) and the prospect of being a homeowner for the first time. I'm sure there will be lots of other unexpected highs and lows along the way, but for now that's what I'm looking forward to.

What are you looking forward to in 2012?

What are you worried about in 2012?

Post your comments below

(you can still join in if you're not in my class - it would be interesting to get some of our readers in different parts of the world involved too, whether you're a teacher, a student, whether you come here regularly or this is your first time).

  1. Things we are looking forward to (as a class):

    A chocolate-free year
    The London Olympics
One year older and wiser too!
Further into the century - making history!
    Youth convention
Being able to go to dances
    Sundays at church
    Christmas at home
(The last two were obviously the missionaries' answers!)

    Things we are worried about:

    The end of the world?
    Understanding English

Thanks for your comments, let's see as the year progresses whether these are as good or as bad as we expected. Feel free to add to the list!
