Righteousness and the Protection of the Lord

"I have broken both legs, one of them in two places; both arms,
both ankles, my breastbone, and three ribs; I have been scalded, frozen, and drowned; I have been in two water wheels while turning under a full head; I have passed through a score of other hairbreadth escapes. The repeated deliverances from all these remarkable dangers I ascribe to the mercies of my Heavenly Father. In recalling them to mind I always feel impressed to render the gratitude of my heart, with thanksgiving and joy, to the Lord. I pray that the remainder of my days may pass in His service, in the building up of His kingdom." quoted in Cowley, Wilford Woodruff, 11-12

Wilford Woodruff—Faithful and True

Wilford Woodruff is known for having been a great missionary and the fourth President of the Church. He was also a great historian: the historical records he had kept were a major contribution to the Church. His journal consisted of more than seven thousand pages.

Do you have a journal? If you start now you could probably write that much over the course of life.

Another way to record your experiences and thoughts is to write them on your own personal blog. You could start one on here if you haven't already. You could also print off a collection of your facebook statuses and keep them in your journal along with photgraphs. Remember, it's always best to keep your own copies of things that are digital because then you have them under your control and they won't be lost if the site shuts done for any reason.
